Installation steps
Mounting
DHMSCare sensors are bonded with industrial adhesive near the bearing seat, with no machine modification, and each one is bound to its measuring point with a tap of the phone. A mounting block is available where the surface is not suitable for direct bonding.
No downtime
DHMSCare sensors bond to the bearing housing with industrial adhesive and pair with a tap in the mobile app, so installing them needs no machine downtime. The gateway mounts on a nearby wall and connects over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G, depending on the model.
Your own team can install it
Yes. Your own maintenance team can install DHMSCare. Each sensor is glued near the bearing housing and linked to its measuring point with a tap of a phone, and self-serve deployment takes 90 seconds. The Quick Installation Guide shows where each sensor goes and where to place the gateway.
On site or remote
Both are possible. Most plants install DHMSCare themselves with 90-second self-serve deployment. Local partners can also install and set it up on site, and DHMSCare engineers help remotely or on site as part of a project. After installation, local partners give hands-on support and DHMSCare's remote experts handle harder issues.
One photo builds the model
DHMSCare builds each machine's model from a single photo taken in the app. The model is a digital description of the machine and its parts, which the AI uses to judge each measuring point. Once the photo is taken and the sensors are tapped in, a machine can be live the same day.
Installation Q&A
Do we have to stop the machines to install vibration sensors?
No. DHMSCare sensors bond to the bearing housing with industrial adhesive and pair with a tap of a phone, so the machine keeps running while you install them. DHMSCare installs without downtime, so your plant can deploy while the line keeps producing.
How long does it take to go live with wireless predictive maintenance?
Go-live is quick: DHMSCare offers self-serve deployment in 90 seconds, and installing the sensors needs no downtime. Each sensor bonds on with industrial adhesive and pairs with a tap of a phone, and readings start at once. DHMSCare learns each machine’s own baseline as the readings build up.
Sensor count
How many vibration sensors does one production line need?
A typical starting point is ten sensors and one gateway per production line, placed on the most critical machines first. Mount them where faults show up: both ends of each motor, the fan bearings and the pump drive end. One DHMSCare gateway connects up to 60 sensors, so you start on one production line and add sensors and lines as you grow.
Sensors per machine
DHMSCare plans start from one sensor per machine, placed near the bearing seat, and you add sensors where a machine has more measuring points, such as a motor that drives a gearbox. Each industry page lists the measuring points per machine.

Gateway network setup
No inbound ports need to be opened. The DHMSCare gateway only makes outbound connections to the platform, over Ethernet or Wi-Fi on the DG310, or Ethernet or 4G on the DG311. Your IT team can go through the network setup with DHMSCare when you apply for activation.
Wireless technology
DHMSCare sensors send their data to the gateway over industrial-grade Bluetooth 5.0 Class 1, a low-power radio standard, in the 2.4 GHz band. The gateway then uplinks to the platform over Ethernet or Wi-Fi on the DG310, or Ethernet or 4G on the DG311.
Distance to the gateway
About 300 m in open, line-of-sight conditions, and typically 60–80 m inside a plant, depending on the layout and what stands between the sensor and the gateway. DHMSCare sensors use industrial-grade Bluetooth 5.0 Class 1, not consumer-grade Bluetooth. Where the signal is weak, a DR100 repeater passes it on.
Repeater
Yes. The DHMSCare DR100 wireless repeater extends the signal between sensors and the gateway, covers dead zones and carries up to 20 sensors at about 50 m in an industrial environment. It runs on mains power or on its own battery for about 6 months.
Reliability for critical machines
Yes, for condition monitoring. DHMSCare sensors report at set intervals over industrial-grade Bluetooth 5.0 Class 1, typically 60–80 m from the gateway inside a plant. The gateway stores readings during a network outage, and the platform shows when any sensor or gateway goes offline. For protection that must stop a machine within milliseconds, keep a wired protection system. DHMSCare monitors machines but does not trip them.
Network outage
No data is lost in a short outage: the DHMSCare gateway stores readings while the network is down and uploads them when the connection returns.
4G gateway
Yes. The DHMSCare DG311 gateway connects over 4G or Ethernet, so sites without plant Wi-Fi or network access can still send sensor data to the platform. It takes a standard Nano-SIM card.
Radio approval by country
DHMSCare gateways carry CE and FCC approval, and the DG310 also carries IMDA approval for Singapore. For another country, such as Indonesia, ask us to confirm the approval before you order.
Without plant Wi-Fi or IT
No. The DHMSCare DG311 gateway connects over 4G, so DHMSCare can run without your plant Wi-Fi or IT network. The DG310 uses plant Ethernet or Wi-Fi where you prefer that.
