Can DHMSCare monitor agitators, centrifuges, pumps and compressors in a chemical plant?
Yes. DHMSCare monitors centrifuges, pumps, including canned pumps, and compressors in chemical plants, and the motors and gearboxes that drive agitators; for hazardous areas it offers IECEx-certified hardware. A canned pump is a sealed pump with the motor inside the casing.
Why rotating equipment comes first
In a chemical plant, a failed centrifuge, compressor or pump stops production. Some of these machines move hazardous media, so a failure can also become a safety incident.
Start with the machines that run nonstop and have no spare. Their bearings, rotors and gears show the first signs of trouble.
How DHMSCare watches each machine
Wireless sensors on the motor, pump and gearbox bearings measure vibration and temperature. Each point is compared with its own normal pattern, so a slow change shows up before it turns into a stop.
When the load or solids inside a centrifuge build up unevenly, or its parts wear unevenly, the rotor goes out of balance and vibration at running speed rises. Agitator gearboxes are tracked for gear wear once their tooth counts are entered.
What to expect on site
Sensors mount near the bearing seats without stopping the machine. The DHMSCare DS310 sensor is IP69-rated against dust and high-pressure water, but IP69 is not a corrosion rating, so confirm the mounting plan with us for strongly corrosive areas.
In working plants, 90%+ of DHMSCare alerts are accurate, so your maintenance team can plan the repair instead of reacting to a stop.
Next step
In a chemical plant with many machine types, DHMSCare gives every machine its own baseline and Mina states the diagnosis, so equipment in hazardous areas stays under watch too.

Questions buyers also ask
Do you have certified hardware for hazardous areas?
Yes. DHMSCare offers hardware certified under IECEx, the international scheme for equipment used in explosive atmospheres; the certificate states which models and zones it covers.
Will a corrosive atmosphere damage the sensors?
IP69 protects against dust and high-pressure water, not against corrosion. For strongly corrosive areas, confirm the mounting plan with us before you install.
Which machines should we monitor first?
Start with the critical rotating machines that run nonstop: agitator drives, pumps, fans and compressors. Add centrifuges and other units as you extend the system line by line.
