What is the difference between DHMSCare and ifm or Schaeffler OPTIME?

Book a Demo
Short answer

DHMSCare is a predictive maintenance solution for rotating equipment, with alerts, AI diagnosis and recommended actions in one platform; ifm's moneo and Schaeffler OPTIME are condition-monitoring offerings from an automation maker and a bearing maker. All three can watch your machines, but they start from different places.

What ifm and Schaeffler offer

Schaeffler OPTIME is a full wireless solution. Its sensors cover 2 Hz to 5 kHz, carry an IP69K rating and run about five years on a battery. They link through Wirepas, a mesh radio network, to a gateway with cloud analytics.

ifm pairs its VWV002 vibration sensor with the ZB0929 gateway and the moneo cloud. It monitors overall vibration in line with ISO 10816, the international vibration-severity standard. Plants that already run ifm automation parts often find it familiar.

How DHMSCare judges a machine

DHMSCare uses ISO 10816 only as a starting reference and as the language for severity.

Each machine is graded against its own learned normal pattern, its baseline, and an alert rises only when a change keeps growing. That way, a machine that has always run a little rougher is measured against its own normal, not against one line made for every machine.

The DS310 sensor measures 0–6000 Hz on three axes. The platform covers 60+ fault types in 5 categories, such as bearing wear, misalignment, imbalance and looseness.

What your team receives

Each alert comes with a likely cause and a recommended maintenance action, not just a reading. Mina, the industrial AI agent, explains it in plain words. Measured in working plants, DHMSCare alerts are right 90%+ of the time, and its AI fault diagnosis is right 85%+ of the time.

Questions buyers also ask

Does DHMSCare use ISO 10816 limits as alarm lines?

No. ISO 10816 and 20816 serve only as a starting reference and to describe severity. The alert levels come from each machine's own baseline.

Can DHMSCare cover machines from many brands?

Yes. The sensors mount onto the machine, so the make of the motor, pump or gearbox does not matter.

Is DHMSCare tied to one automation ecosystem?

No. Every paid plan includes a REST API, a standard data interface, so your own systems can read device, health and alert data.
